News For Texas Conservative Lobbyists: John Henry’s Letter to Kirk Watson
About a week ago, a kindergartener named John-Henry went to visit the Texas Legislature. After going on a tour of the buildings, John-Henry drew a picture and mailed it to Senator Kirk Watson who he had met while visiting. His picture was an adorable rendition of a voting station on one of the Representatives desks. Accompanied with the picture was this caption: “This is a picture of the desks where the Congresspeople sit. They have these buttons for voting ‘yes,’ ‘no,’ and ‘they don’t want to say how they feel.;” The neutral button he speaks of is actually a “present not voting” button, and it’s a surprisingly accurate description from a kindergartener.
