Texas has again received formal recognition as being one of the best states for doing business. Area Development Magazine just named Texas as the number one state for business again for the third year in a row. The magazine has also ranked Texas best in most favorable regulatory environment, speed of permitting, cooperative tax environment, cooperative state government, incentive programs, and cost of doing business. Low taxes coupled with low regulation make Texas a place where business can really grow.
“In Texas, we understand that in order for our economy to thrive, government must get out of the way and let businesses get to work,” Gov. Perry said. “Our free market principles, low taxes, fair courts and smart regulations are an attractive combination for employers across the country. That’s why in the past decade, three out of every 10 new jobs created in the United States have been in Texas.”
